QBudget has been around, pretty much unchanged, for many years. Despite this, it's still the choice of many industry professionals who want a fast, flexible and simple-to-use tool to produce APA format budgets for commericals and music video production.

Talking to our users we see that it's the Schedule Wizard tool (which allows you to make overall changes to whole groups of crew and/or kit at once) and the built-in Rates Database that help them budget better, and faster. Flexible output (you have powerful control over the level of detail) to both print and PDF completes the QBudget advantage.

Finally, please note that QBudget runs on your computer and doesn't need an internet connection. It's not reliant upon someone else's server in "the cloud" and a fast connection to it. You can, and will, budget from anywhere!

RUNNING QBUDGET IN 2011

Running QBudget on today's modern operating systems (which didn't exist when it was designed) is simple using "Virtualisation" and with the advent of Sun (now Oracle's) VirtualBox free solution to this, it's not expensive either. There are commercial options too, such as Parallels or VMware Fusion for Mac, or VMware for Windows 7 and Vista. If you've bought one of these already, then you're all set to run QBudget. If you're starting out, then VirtualBox does the job for free.

The majority of our users these days are on Mac, using either Parallels or VirtualBox to run their QBudget. It's fast, robust and easy to install. Do talk to us!
