We've already made a number of improvements, most notably in the support, licencing and update systems which are now all internet based, and we're well aware that a version for Apple Mac is long overdue. After some delays, a new version is being developed back in the UK and will be delivered soon. That said, the current version works well, and owners of new Intel-powered Macs already enjoy fast budgeting using Parallels to run QB2000.

QBudget has extremely loyal users from many of the top names in UK commercials production etc. Talking to them we see that it's the The Schedule Wizard (which allows you to make overall changes to whole groups of crew and/or kit at once) and The Rates Database (see sidebar) that help them budget better, and faster. Flexible output (you have powerful control over the level of detail) to both print and PDF completes the QBudget advantage.

RUNNING QBUDGET IN 2009
 
Windows VIsta? No problem. We can supply you with a self-contained QBudget solution that uses the free VMWare Player to run a fast, stable (Windows 2000 host) version of QBudget inside your Vista PC. No more crashing budgets, printing problems or missing running totals etc. Qbudget works exactly as you would expect, and are used to, and you can drag and drop between the Virtual Machine and your normal Vista desktop, print to your normal printers (and to PDF!) etc. as you choose.
 
MacBook, MacBook Pro or new MacBook Air? No problem again. You need a copy of Parallels Desktop for Mac (download for $80) and unlike the old days of slooooow Virtual PC, you'll have a blisteringly fast QBudget up and running on your Mac in no time at all. Easy to install, easy to use, and again, drag and drop your files from Parallels to Mac desktops and print to PDF etc.
